Fun for Friday

Last weekend G and I got really lame.
We were bored. We had nothing better to do.
So, we took pictures of ourselves.
And we laughed, and laughed. I hope you do too!
Happy Friday!!

 For some reason it didn't read G's face on this picture. He said he was going to take this to work and tell people I was his wife. What a sweetie! : )

I am so proud of how creepy I look in this picture!

We hope you all have a great weekend!

Sorry I'm Not {Really} Sorry

I have a ton of things that I'm not really sorry for.

For example...

* I'm not sorry that I love reality TV. Alot. I record The Bachelor/Bachelorette and Biggest Loser every week and treat them like they are gifts to myself. I try to save them for as long as possible so that I have something to look forward to every week. Pathetic?
{Ps. His stomach did not look like this on Monday's episode. Just FYI}

*This one get's it own star, even though it technically goes with the above one: I'm not sorry that I like the show Duck Dynasty. It took me awhile to come around, but Season 3 is now recording on the ol DVR.
{Ps. I actually think Jase is pretty hot.}

*Sure, she may be annoying to alot of people and date every boy that gets her attention {according to the media atleast}, but I'm not sorry that I love Taylor Swift. Evidenced here, here, and here. While everyone else is tired of hearing about her, I still am not!

*I'm not sorry that it ticks me off when I follow a person's blog, leave comments, you know...make myself known, and that person never acknowledges I am even there. Don't get me wrong, I know that you aren't going to like and connect with every single blogger out there, but I would never just ignore a person! Does this happen to you?

*I'm not sorry that I hate going to work, or even having a job at all. The fact that America spends 40+ hours a week at work is insane to me. No wonder our lives go by in the blink of an eye, we spend the majority of it at work.

*I don't like seafood, and I'm not sorry about that either. Other than the fact it would be one more healthy option to add to my picky taste. Ok, I guess I am a little sorry. But, gross!

*I don't find Channing Tatum or Ryan Gosling atrractive and I'll leave it at that.

*I find psychological issues, and just psychology itself extremely interesting. Last night on Katie, the topic was Transgendered children and it was so interesting to me that I decided I was going to take the next hour or two and educate myself on some things I have always wondered about. When Garrett got home from work last night, I was well educated on transgender surgery and how one can go from having female parts to having male parts, pictures and all. I told you it was interesting to me.

*I'm not sorry that, despite my love for T Swift, I really don't love music all that much. I literally never listen to music unless I am in my car or working out. The husband is a whole different story, if he is home, there is music on.

What are you not sorry for?

Linking up with Kaitlyn!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

My sleep schedule is officially messed up.
The past three nights we have gone to bed around 2:30am and I have slept for 30 minutes, and woke up around 3am wide awake. Yesterday I decided instead of laying in bed waiting for sleep that wasn't going to come, I would get up and go take pictures of the snow.

So, at 7am I was shin deep in snow, walking around looking like a crazy person taking pictures.
The good thing about being up so early?
McDonald's breakfast!
This was from the night before when it started snowing.

I love living in a winter wonderland! However, I am scared to death to drive on snowy/icy roads.
And we are out of milk which means no snow ice cream OR hot chocolate.

Do you like snow or do you prefer warmer weather?

Oscars Faves

Did y'all watch the Oscars last night?
G and I watched and, believe it or not, I actually {somehow} got him to sit down and watch the whole thing! I owe him big time.

While I haven't seen the majority of the movies that were nominated {I have seen exactly 1 of them}, I still enjoyed looking at everyone's dresses, hearing their acceptance speeches, and laughing at Seth Macfarlane.

Since I have only seen one of the nominated films, Django Unchained, that was my vote for pretty much every award because I knew for a fact it was a great movie. I can't wait to watch Silver Linings Playbook {I don't know why I haven't, I love Jennifer Lawrence and don't get me started on how hot Bradley Cooper is}, and now I want to see Argo.
Have you seen either of those two?

My favorite dress was Naomi Watts' dress. It was modern and different and still classy all at the same time.

I was so glad that Adele looked gorgeous after the dress she chose for the Grammy's. As a matter of fact, I think last night was the most gorgeous I have ever seen her. Her hair looked fabulous, she should wear it like that all the time!

I was so glad Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor for Django Unchained, he was so good in that movie! {Plus, his German accent is so cute!} If you haven't seen that movie, I think you should see it.

I think it's so crazy and interesting that Daniel Day Lewis is a "method actor", which means he stays in character the whole time he is playing a role. Like, even at home, he acted like Abraham Lincoln. That's wack.

Jennifer Lawrence looked beautiful and, to me, she is one of those people who can just do no wrong. I think it's because she seems so down to Earth and sweet. And goofy, that's important too. {And what a lucky girl to get to make out with Bradley Cooper!}

I loved Kerry Washington's dress too. Pinkish + sparkle = love in my book.

Overall I thought this was one of the best award shows I have seen in awhile. Seth Macfarlane was funny to me, I loved the dancing at the beginning {especially with Josheph Gordon-Levitt and Daniel Radcliffe}, and now I have a list of must-see movies!

What did you think about it?

Cash Wrap Rant

If you are like I was before I worked at Victoria's Secret, you may have no Earthly idea what the hell cash wrap is.
Cash wrap = Cash register. {But, you probably already knew that.}
Why am I talking about a cash register?
Answer: Because I had a dream about one last night.
"Dreams are like pictures. If I'm not in them, and no one is having sex, I don't want to hear about them." -Dennis, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

That's how I typically feel about sharing my dreams, and about hearing other people's. Not the sex part, just the "if I am not in them" part.
But, this has a point, I promise.

So, anyways, in my dream I was working at a grocery store, checking people out.
And I sucked.
I was sloooow, kept having to call the manager for help, and the customers were getting uppity.
Basically, it was an exact reflection of real life.

When I was 16, I worked at a grocery store. In my early 20's I worked at CVS, and at 24, Victoria's Secret. At all 3 places, I had to work at the register.
And at all 3 places, I hated the register.

If I think of a time that I felt under the most pressure, it was working at a cash register. There's nothing worse than having a long line of grumpy mall-goers and not knowing if you are supposed to scan their 10% off card first or their black, lacy bra, and when you do figure it out, not knowing how to even find the place on the computer to enter in said information. Then there's your boss standing behind you, judging you, and gently reminding you to ask if they have an Angels card, and if they don't "Would they like one? It can save you money!".
I hated it.
Needless to say, I woke up from my dream feeling stressed out. And then I laughed when I realized it was just a dream. Thank God

Have you ever worked at a cash register? Did it stress you out as much as it did me?

I hope like heck I never have to work behind one again.
Even that will be too soon.

Happy Friday! : )

I'm Loving...

I'm loving these Special K breakfast sandwiches. Seriously, they are really delicious! They keep me feeling full for several hours and are only 240 calories. There are several different kinds but I will probably stick with the sausage, egg, and cheese.

I'm loving these shoes I got a couple of weeks ago from Target. They are similar to Toms but are more comfortable. {Atleast I think they are more comfy, I don't own any Toms, I have just tried them on and they were too uncomfortable to buy.} Target has probably 10 different patterns and colors and they are only $20!
{I've got my eye on the camo pair too!}

I'm loving the huge snow flakes that are falling right now in Denver. Snow falling literally mesmerizes me. It is one of the most beautiful things nature has to offer, I love it!

I'm loving that the Valentine's candy is on sale! We went this weekend and loaded up. I also got Valentine's themed Funfetti cake mix on sale. That's the best!

I am really loving this book. It is my new favorite book. I finished it about a week ago and Garrett decided to read it and he has been reading it out loud to me. That is how much I love it, I was ready to read it again and I never reread books. If you are looking for something to read, please read this so we can discuss it!
Word on the street is that it will be a movie!

I am also loving my sweet new blog followers! Thanks so much for stopping by and following along!

Celebrating Valentine's Day

I know, Valentine's Day was last week.
But, I still want to share our day with you guys and, you know, get it on the ol blog.

Technically, we celebrated Valentines day at 3am Friday morning when G got off of work. That's our new normal, up until 5am and sleeping until atleast 3pm.

Earlier that day, before Garrett had gone to work, I started working on the crossword puzzle that he had made me to start off my Valentine's scavenger hunt. I finished the crossword and decided I wanted to wait to finish the scavenger hunt/exchange gifts until he got home that night.
 So we took a nap.

This crossword was all about our relationship, and I knew ALL the answers but 2. I was pretty proud! {The 2 I didn't know were hard! Ex. The name of the street our apartment in Florence, Italy was on? Answer: Ghibellina.}

I spent the day cleaning the apartment and getting Garrett's gifts set up.

And I may have watched the Bachelor. 12 hours is a long time to be home by yourself!

When Garrett got home we ate dinner and I finished my sweet scavenger hunt. G hid thoughtful notes in places around the apartment with a small gift. It was fun and something I won't forget!

{I wasn't wearing makeup so don't judge too hard on these pictures!}

After the crossword, my next clue led me to our collection of vinyls.

This was hidden in a note in our Def Leppard vinyl:

So, as I went around the apartment {and outside in the freezing weather} I gathered up my sweet notes along with the thoughtful gifts at each place.

 I am so thankful to have a sweet, thoughtful husband! I thought my gifts to him were sweet, and of course he out did me, as usual!

After I finished the scavenger hunt, it was his turn.
He didn't have to work too hard, his gifts were laid out right in front of him.

My friend Diedre gave me the idea to make G this Saints thinga-ma-jigger for his new office.
It's wood, nails, and thread.
He loved it.
 {He was even wearing his Saints shirt that day!}

We ended up hanging out until around 5am and went to bed.

It was a great Valentine's day! I've said it once and I'll say it again; I am so very thankful to have such a sweet, thoughtful hubby who can make me feel so special!
