Crested Butte

Garrett and I celebrated our two year anniversary by taking a mini vacation to Crested Butte, Colorado.
We stayed Friday night and Saturday night and definitely were not ready to come home on Sunday.
Crested Butte is such a charmingly cute little town!

Local restaurants, hiking trails, bright flowers, and friendly people are what made our stay wonderful. We can't wait to go back sometime in the fall and see the numerous Aspens changing color and preparing for winter.

I purchased our trip through LivingSocial. They have some great deals on trips! Included in our package were 2 nights in a King room, a bottle of wine, 2 ski lift rides, and a $30 spa credit. If you ever are looking for a quick trip, definitely check out LivingSocial!

Friday night we got CRAZY!
We ordered a pizza, opened our bottle of wine, and stayed in and relaxed. We went to the pool/jacuzzi and sauna. It was nice not having anything to do.

Saturday we woke up and had breakfast at Izzy's. The food was delicious! Actually, everywhere we ate was exceptionally good. We walked around the town a bit while waiting on our food and after breakfast rode a ski lift close to the summit of Mount Crested Butte. From there we hiked down the mountain to another ski lift. Both ski lifts and hiking were fun! The wind was cool and the sun was warm, making for the perfect day. After our hike, I had a much needed hot stone massage.

Girls...listen up!
If you have never had a hot stone massage you need to schedule yourself one! It was wonderful!

Afterwards, all I wanted to do was sleep and Garrett was nice enough to let me take a nap. We went to Montanya, a  rum distillery {drink recipes coming soon}. The place was legit. After drinks we went to dinner at The Last Steep. YUM!

The town is FULL of gorgeous flowers!

Breakfast at Izzy's.
Fried Eggs, Latke, and Cheese.

A crepe filled with sausage, egg, and cheese.

On our way up the mountain. The lazy way; ski lift!

Back in town!

Dessert at The Last Steep: Grasshopper Pie

Sunday morning we had breakfast and headed home. We took our time, taking pictures along the way.

Moral of the story: If you ever get the chance to visit Crested Butte, do it!

    1. Thanks Brit! The grasshopper pie was weird. Good but weird. It was an Oreo cookie crust with homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream on top. It had whipped cream and crushed Oreos. Basically a huge hunk of ice cream!

    1. Thank you Katie! I got my sunglasses from Urban Outfitters. Latke is basically like hashbrowns. It's the potato square underneath Garrett's eggs. I think it is just fried with different spices? I had never heard of it until this trip.
