Hi blog friends!
I just realized that I only posted TWICE the whole month of August.
Garrett and I have been busy moving and working which, unfortunately, doesn't leave much time for blogging. I've missed it though, and you guys!
This past weekend was the first weekend in what seems like forever that we had time to have fun and do something besides clean/move/organize.
My best friend Brittany over at Fun with the Fullwoods came to stay with us Wednesday and Thursday night. It was SO good to see her and Tiny! We mainly ate, shopped, and gossiped, which was fine by me. We hit up a candy store too!

We had dinner at Steubens Thursday night and it was delicious. These are Gravy Fries.

We dropped Brit off Friday afternoon to spend time with her family in Colorado Springs. I definitely wasn't ready for her to go, it was nice having someone to do my nails with and shop with! Brit I can't wait until your next visit, or mine in your neck of the woods! : )
Sunday, Garrett and I went to A Taste of Colorado. Basically, a ton of restaurants from the Denver area set up stands and you buy tickets to either "taste" or purchase a full meal.

Sunday night we had drinks with one of Garrett's friends from school and finished the night off with an episode of Dexter. That show is so good!

ReplyDeleteAwww Whit I had SO much fun! I just wish it could've been for longer. Next time, I'm bringing Zach (and possibly Tiny!) and we're staying at least 4-5 days. And ummmm about that coconut cream pie...that is seriously making my mouth water. I want some!!! Glad y'all had some yummy treats at A Taste of Colorado.
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny because I kept telling my parents about "Jimmy's" (aka Freddy's)....don't know why I'm retarded and got the name wrong. Then we passed a Jimmy Johns and they were all "Is that the place you ate with Whitney and Garrett?" and I was like "Well, yes, actually we did eat there but that's not the Jimmy's I was telling you about". Then last night, laying in bed, it hit me that I've been calling it the wrong name this entire time. So dumb! But either way, that place was GOOD!
HAHAHAHAH what's funny is I just scarfed down a Freddy's burger and fries! : ) Glad you liked it and glad you had fun! I can't wait until you, Z, and Tiny can visit!
