Texas Trip Documented by an iPhone

Last week Garrett and I went home to Texas for Garrett's little brother, Yates', high school graduation.
It. Was. Hot.
And it was fun and great to see family and friends. We had a great time and here are some pictures to prove it!

The Sweetwater, Texas forecast compared to Aurora, Colorado where we live. HUGE difference. Told ya it was hot!

Finally started and finished this book. It was so good! Now it's time to see the movie! I know, I am way behind.

Mom and I had lunch and I ordered this piece of chocolate pie for dessert. It was huge and it was delicious. I finished it all.

Since apparently there is no such thing as a snow cone in Denver, I tried to stock up on them at home. I ended up only having two, but boy were they delicious. Ice cream with cream is the BEST flavor! Next is pickle juice. Don't wrinkle up your nose! They are yummy! : )

Not the best picture in the world, but I got to see my two best friends and little Kamdon. I miss these folks alot!

I got to sit by Kamdon at dinner. I want to steal him!

I learned a new braid for my hair for graduation. I'm awful with hair y'all, so I was very proud of myself.
Cue awkward picture.

And mom and dad took us to a Texas Rangers game! I may have complained about the heat just a tiny bit. But I had fun.

My new Kinsler t-shirt. That boy has got it going on.

More pictures to come later!

Hope you are all having a good start to your weekend! Our good friend Michael is here for the week and we are about to grill out and get some drinks and board games going. Garrett bought me cake flavored Vodka! Say what!? I'll let you know how that is!

  1. Awwwww Whit I could comment ALL DAY about this post...I love it! It was so good finally seeing my long lost friend!!! I had no idea the weather was so much cooler in CO, no wonder you were ready to get back. That looks like Zach heaven. I bet you and G are loving those temperatures!

Wanna know something funny? Those are my two favorite snow cone flavors too! Great minds think alike. Ice cream with cream is the absolute best though.

I wish we had seen y'all at graduation :( I did talk to Yates though...he's so funny. Looks like y'all had fun at the Ranger's game! You look so cute in your Kinsler t-shirt.

Miss you! Can't wait to hear how all the family visits go...I know you'll have some good stories :)

    1. Yep, Brit and I have known each other for a long time, we went to school together, I was in her wedding, and she's pretty much my bestie if you don't count my cat! : )

  3. I didn’t realize you girls were “fo real” friends either. So cool!!

Looks like you had a lot of fun, Whitney! I just love hot weather and “snowcones” (we call them snowballs in B-more) I actually had a chocolate chip cookie flavor snowball with marshmallow last night…..pretty much heaven in my mouth!

Oh and I love the headband braid!! I wish I could braid my own hair this good.

    1. I wish I loved hot weather. I can not stand it! Ugh I would rather freeze my ass off then be even a little bit hot. It's awful! The snow cone you had sounds so good! Snowballs, that's cute! Thanks about the hair! I was surprised it came out as well as it did, I am AWFUL with hair!
