Hello!
Happy Monday! If anyone can be happy about Monday's...
As some of you know, my husband and I like to go thrift shopping on the weekends. And when I say my husband and I...I mean it. He enjoys it almost as much as I do! How'd I get so lucky? Of course, I head straight to the dishes and glassware, a girl can never have enough, and he makes a beeline for the vinyls section. Apparently a guy can never have enough of those either.
Since I have already bragged about my "thrifty finds" to him, and to my family on some of these, I thought it'd be ok to share them with you all now. I was/am/will always be excited about these couple of things I got. So, thanks for reading/looking at a pretty pointless post! : ) You are awesome!
These first three things came from my hometown of Sweetwater, Texas. There is a little antique shop there, that I can't remember the name of for the life of me, and the guy that owns it always has awesome sales going on. If you are ever there you should definitely stop in. I guess it would help if I knew the name of the place...
This is my favorite thing that I have ever purchased at a thrift/antique store. These pictures, in my opinion, don't do her justice. She's pretty!
I also got this little mannequin on the same trip. It has such a cute vintage look to it!
I also got that little glass doll on the left. She isn't very photogenic. But, she has real lace at the bottom of her dress and for $2 I couldn't say no.
Now for a more recent shopping trip! Garrett and I went a couple of weekends ago in Denver and found more goodies!
This is perfect for Valentines day! On top of that, I am a sucker for jars.
Last but not least...Garrett found this!
Sorry for the crappy pictures, lighting is hard to work with! The frame is ugly and I need to take that blue sticker off but we LOVE this painting! It even has a signature and date on it! 1995. Florence, Italy is one of mine and Garrett's favorite places on Earth so we can't wait to find a place for this in our home!
I hope I have inspired you to venture out and into thrift stores. You never know what you will find!
