Garrett and I finally put up our tree last weekend.
I don't know what took us so long to get around to doing it, but afterwards I didn't want to put up the rest of our decorations. As a matter of fact, everything but the tree and ornaments went back into their boxes and out into storage.We will be home in Texas for almost a week so it didn't seem worth it to me.
And I am ok with that.
I think that the thought of having our tree light up the living room was good enough for me. Not to mention that now we don't have to undecorate the whole apartment once Christmas is over.

We bought that cat Santa hat last year at Target for $5. It might be the best $5 we ever spent.

ReplyDeleteWe didn't decorate the house either. The tree is really enough for me and I don't feel like I want anything else. Your tree is pretty!! I'm not sure why but it seems to be so much effort to get the tree up and decorated.

ReplyDeleteMy cat has that same hat. Although he hates it, but lets face it it's just too cute right? I love the picture of you two with the cats. Do your cats like to play with the ornaments too? Mine always knocks them down so the bottom third of my tree is undecorated :) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteUh man, I hear ya. I was all bahumbug about putting up decorations this year too. I am just... exhausted. The last thing I wanted to do was decorate. But, I did it. Not as fun & creative as I could have but eh, it will do. Lately, I'd rather sit on the couch with my husband than blog, craft, read... anything. I don't know what's gotten into me!
