DIY Gift Initials

Ever year I complain about having to wrap Christmas presents.
I've just never been good at it. Actually, I have always been awful at it.

As a matter of fact, I used to make my little sister do it for me, she was WAY better at it than I was. This year I decided I was going to learn how to do it well once and for all, as well as add something fun to make them look unique.

I came across several wrapping ideas on Pinterest and decided to try one of them out with a little twist of my own. I can't believe I am saying this, but my presents actually look good this year! Hey, there's a first time for everything, right?

What you will need:
Scissors
Decorative paper
Stencils
Hot glue gun
A wrapped gift

There's really no need to do a "How To" since it's pretty self explanatory. I just added initials to everyone's gift instead of using gift tags.

The fun thing is that you can add different things and customize them for each person so that they don't all look identical. I had this blue jean pocket from a pair of jeans that I cut up, so I used it to hold my sister's gift card.

I'm loving this because it was pretty easy and you can combine so many unique colors and patterns. I got my decor paper and stencils from Hobby Lobby and they had a great selection. Well, of the paper atleast, the stencils I got aren't very good.

I can't wait to pack all of these into the car and head home for Christmas!

  2. I love this!!! They look professionally wrapped!! We have like 487 people to buy for so I don't think the single initial would work for us...but I might do it next year just for the three of us. Great job, little crafty lady!
