Our Weekend: Parade of Lights

After being downtown so late on Friday night the last thing either of us wanted to do was go back downtown on Saturday night. We wanted to lay on the couch moaning and groaning about our stomachaches and watch TV. But, I knew I would regret it if I missed the Parade of Lights, so I made Garrett get up and we went. He was nice and drove us, too.

Downtown is so gorgeous during the holidays, there are so many lights! The parade was awesome, and so was our dinner at Chili's afterward. : )

It is hard to take pictures at night, especially of moving things, so these aren't that great. But, since I write this blog for my old self (and my family) they will suffice.

This was my favorite float! It was SO pretty!

This is downtown Denver. Beautiful during the holidays!

Isn't that building gorgeous? Garrett kept laughing at me because I kept turning around and looking at it after we had already walked away from it. I couldn't get over it!

Afterwards we went to Chili's. We go there quite a bit. It's cheap and delicious!

This has been my weakness lately:
Fries with Ranch dressing. SO good!

This weekend we are planning on doing more Christmas-y things, I am excited!

  2. That food! Looks amazing. What a fun night. The lights are so pretty. Sometimes you do really have to force yourself to get out and enjoy life. You usually don't regret it even though the couch can be very tempting.

  4. Oh my goooooooooosh, those floats are AMAZING! So jealous, Whit! I would love to see a parade like that. It reminds me of the night parades at Disneyland. And mmmmm Chilis...we haven't had it in forever (actually the last time was when I was in Colorado Springs with my fam!) but your pictures are making me want some bad. I love their skillet queso!
