Weekend Shenanigans

Hi sweeties!

You guys, I finally have something to link up to Weekend Shenanigans!
Usually Monday rolls around and I think back on our weekend and decide that I have nothing blog worthy to talk about. No, I didn't do anything that great this weekend, but I did take pictures of some random things. I mean, if you have pictures, you have something right?
Right.

Friday, the weather was perrrffeect. Garrett and I took advantage of that and went for a jog. {I know, I'm just as shocked as you are.} Don't worry, we made up for it afterwards by grilling sliders and hot dogs. YUM.

Garrett is serious when it comes to grilling.
{Don't laugh at our ghetto grill. It was free on Craigslist several years ago.}

We topped off our wild night with an old fashioned crossword puzzle.
I know, we really need to settle down.

Saturday we slept in and then had an early dinner at Jason's Deli. Oh we love Jason's. The food is delicious and it doesn't hurt that you get free ice cream with your meal!

I normally get the Beefeater, but I opted for a dumb salad instead. G had soup.

One of Garrett's grad school friends recently moved back to Denver, and we hadn't seen him yet, so we spent Saturday night at his apartment. His sweet girlfriend was in town too! We played beer pong and talked until 2am. And, I discovered a new favorite drink. Coke + Pinnacle Whipped Vodka. Try it! It tastes like a Vanilla Coke from Sonic.

Tim and Jessica.
They beat us in beer pong, but only by one cup!

Sunday was a laaazzzy day. We ran some errands, watched the ACMs, Game of Thrones, and a couple episodes of Arrested Development.

These "errands" consisted of going to Starbucks and Target {both of which I had gift cards!}.

I tried a "secret menu" drink at Starbucks: Banana Cream Pie. SO good!
I also had a chocolate cake cakepop.

At Target I found this:

It's like a water bottle but it looks like a Mason Jar with a lid and a straw. So cute! I may need this soon. *HINT HINT* hun! ; )

The ACMs were fun. I loved that Garth Brooks and George Strait performed! Hearing Garth again was probably my favorite part of the show. He used to be my favorite!

It also reaffirmed how adorable I think Hunter Hayes is, how much I love Miranda Lambert, and that Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton are funny and easy on the eyes.
Did you watch? What did you think?

Linking up with Sami!

Ps. THANK YOU so so so so so much to those of you who linked up for Never Have I Ever last week! You certainly made our day and we loved reading all of your posts!

  3. Missed you on our blate this weekend!! We don't have Jason's Deli but we did in college and we went there ALL the time for the free ice cream. I'd always get a salad so I felt better about the multiple ice cream cones I would eat! ALSO, LOVE that whipped vodka! I tried the cookie dough kind and it was even better! Makes everything taste like milk shakes!

I don't even like salad (at all) but that one from Jason's actually looks yummy to me. Either I'm just past ready for lunch or that thing actually tastes good. Did you like it?

  17. I'm so happy it's grilling season. And if it's a free grill and it works, I'd say that's a huge win.
